Things to do in Romsey
The little market town of Romsey features a rare and intact medieval hall house that was part of Romsey Abbey (circa 1120 AD,) and which today serves as the centre for Anglican worship and civic events.
The Sir Harold Hillier Gardens
Famous the world over. Among its outstanding features are the splendour of the seasonal planting displays set in 180 acres.
King John’s House & Heritage Centre
The history of the site of King John's House's gardens can be traced back to the late 1530s when King Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries. Then, King John's House and the surrounding land belonged to the Romsey Benedictine nunnery. Now, this area has been transformed into a series of beautiful gardens by a group of dedicated volunteers, who have created a welcoming oasis in the middle of town. Pre-18th-Century plants flourish in the main garden, along with a Victorian terrace and a fountain courtyard. Located in one of Romsey's oldest thoroughfares, Romsey Heritage Centre encompasses three buildings that contain 750 years of history.

Julia Martin presents ‘Steamy Windows’ a tribute to the undisputed Queen of Rock’ Miss Tina Turner.
This high energy production is one of Julia’s longest running tribute shows, performed around the world, with standing ovations and repeat bookings on every occasion. From its conception 20 years ago, this incredibly authentic show captures the image, the stage presence, the legs and most importantly the voice of this great rock legend.
Julia in a recent interview commented… ‘I have always had a love for Rock Music and Tina has been one of my idols for over 20 years, she is one of the few tribute characters that I have yet to meet in person and I think Tina’s life story is simply inspiring. I have built my tribute show around Tina’s sensational live performances, with all my music being individually produced to capture the ‘energy and beat’ of a Live Tina concert. I have had so many people pass comment, not only about my vocal accuracy but also my backing tracks, it was an expensive project with over 30 songs commissioned, but incredibly worthwhile and it certainly adds an extra layer to my performance.
The Essential JERSEY BOYS
‘The Essential Jersey Boys are guaranteed to get your audience partying all night with their tight vocals and choreography, delivering the top hits of this legendary 1950's US rock 'n' roll/pop group. The ultimate tribute act!!
This fantastic tribute show features 4 male vocalists (taking the roles of the original Four Seasons - Frankie, Tommy, Nick & Bob), with specially commissioned and recorded backing tracks.
Their repertoire features the group's massive hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry and Can't Take My Eyes Off You, to name but a few and they execute each number with accompanying smooth, slick dance moves. If you're a fan of The Four Seasons, you're guaranteed to enjoy yourself at this show and who knows you may even find yourself taking part, singing and dancing along!!
It's a brilliant live show; inspired by the boys' time in the widely successful West End stage production "The Jersey Boys - The Life Story Of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons". Each individual's talent & charisma is clear, as is their collective love & respect for the legacy that this rock 'n' roll group created.’
